Bok Center Workshops & Seminars |
As a Learning Lab Graduate Fellow at the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, I planned and led seminars and workshops on making and teaching with multimedia. Examples include several workshops on science communication (1 hr to 1 week), a seminar on object-based teaching, and workshops on making concept videos that explain science topics for a general audience. I supported ~150 students completing course-based concept video assignments.

Museum-based teaching |
Facilitating and interpreting Harvard Museum of Natural History's Sea Creatures in Glass and Marine Life galleries. I designed and presented activities for K-12 visitors, encouraging them to use their own powers of observation to reach conclusions about organisms on display.

Sea Creatures in Glass gallery training |
A short-course format overview of four major invertebrate groups - Cnidaria, Annelida, Mollusca, and Echinodermata - for HMNH volunteers upon the opening of this gallery. Emphasis was placed on the zoology and interactions of these organisms, and how to use the models on display to tell these stories.

Marine Life gallery trainings |
Workshops on New England coastal biology for HMNH volunteers. Emphasis was placed on the anatomy and ecology of the organisms and how to use related objects to encourage visitors to learn about the displays.
